Other highlights

Shelf retraction

Shelf retraction automatically moves the shelf to the nearest screen corner when you drop the first files onto an empty shelf. The option can be enabled in the "Advanced" tab inside the Dropover preferences screen.

Tooltip docked shelves

Dropover allows you top conveniently set aside a shelf for later use with the docking shelf feature. But there are times when you need to know what's inside that shelf without going through the trouble of undocking it.

Docked shelf tooltip

Now, whenever you hover your cursor over a docked shelf, a tooltip pops up, revealing the shelf's title or description. This simple yet effective addition allows you to quickly identify the shelf's content, saving you the step of undocking it.

Clear individual recent shelves

A frequent request was the ability to delete individual recent shelves. Now, when you're in the recent shelves menu, all you have to do is hold down the ⌥ (OPTION) key. This action will enable you to select and delete the specific shelf you want to remove.

Furthermore, a new option has been introduced that allows you to specify whether a shelf should remain in its own space. This added flexibility gives you more control over the arrangement and organization of your shelves, ensuring an optimal workspace.

Other fixes and improvements:

  • Fixed the issue where opening preferences caused the window to appear in the background.
  • Resolved a problem where Dropover could hang and become unresponsive after displaying a new shelf.
  • Ensured that all shelves close properly when selecting the "Close All Shelves" menu bar item.
  • Corrected an issue where the "Reveal in Finder" button within the files grid view was partially obscured.
  • Rectified the behavior where dropping an empty file onto a new shelf would simply close the shelf without displaying an error.
  • The expiration option in Dropover Cloud settings (accessible via Preferences > Dropover Cloud > Settings) is now correctly localized.
  • When "Direct Download" is chosen as the link type in the Dropover Cloud modal, the expiration link now correctly becomes disabled.
  • Addressed various issues that could lead to Dropover crashes, including cases which caused Watched Folders to lead to a crash or unresponsive state.
