What's New in Dropover 4.15

Dropover version 4.15 adds full compatibility with macOS Sequoia, customizable keyboard shortcuts, and more than 30 improvements and fixes!

Full compatibility with macOS Sequoia

This version has been updated to align with the latest macOS version, ensuring all features work as expected.

Custom keyboard shortcuts

Dropover has two types of keyboard shortcuts: global and window-specific. Previously, only global shortcuts were customizable, but now you can personalize both types. This allows you to set custom key combinations for actions like closing, docking windows, or opening the action menu.

The new keyboard shortcuts screen allows you to enable or disable specific shortcuts and assign your own key combinations. To change a shortcut, simply click on the shortcut control and enter the new combination (press Esc ⎋ to cancel). To disable a shortcut, just uncheck the corresponding checkbox.

In this version, some actions have new default keyboard shortcuts: Closing a shelf is now done with ⌘+W (previously Esc ⎋) to align with macOS conventions, and opening the Command Bar is now mapped to ⌘+K (previously Shift+Enter).

Enhancements and reliability updates

This version is all about improvements and bug fixes. The shelf is slightly larger now, with subtle visual updates to modernize its appearance. Notably, the shelf content button now scrolls the text if the title is too long and animates when the content popover is displayed, adding a touch of polish to the experience.

Another improvement is that pinned and recent windows in the menu bar show those that are open, without requiring them to be closed first.

Several issues that caused Dropover to hang or crash, especially when handling many files with Instant Actions, have been addressed for improved reliability. See the full changelog below.
